Miss Taylor and Mrs Gillibrand would like to wish you a warm welcome to Year 3. Whilst in year 3 the children will be encouraged to develop a more independent and mature approach to their learning. These skills will be encouraged and nurtured throughout the course of the year; we always aim to ensure the children feel stimulated, happy, safe and strive to make their learning experience as enjoyable as possible.
The children have had an exciting year so far in year three and have studied topics such as WW11 and its effects, the Stone Age and we have recently started our new topic of the study of the Roman Invasion. We recently visited the historic city of Chester to extend our learning on this topic and had a thoroughly enjoyable day learning lots of interesting facts about the Roman occupation of Chester and Britain.
If we can be of any assistance please don’t hesitate to contact us through class dojo, at the end of the day or through the school office.
The children take part in PE lessons every Tuesday afternoon, please ensure that they have a full PE in school at the beginning of each half term.
Homework will be sent out every Friday and if the children return it completed by Monday they will earn 2 dojos, homework returned on or before Thursday will earn them 1 dojo.
The children will bring home spellings on Mondays, please encourage them to practise them for our weekly test on Friday morning.
