A very warm welcome to Year 3, whilst in year 3 the children will be encouraged to develop a more independent and mature approach to their learning. The children will be issued with a school reading book and this should be returned to school every day in their book bag for review and renewal once completed. We always aim to ensure the children feel stimulated, happy, safe and strive to make their learning experience as enjoyable as possible.
Throughout the year the children will study a wide and varied range of topics, some of which will include pre- historic periods such as the Stone Age and also the Roman invasion and the impact it had on Britain. If we can be of any assistance please don’t hesitate to contact us through class dojo, at the end of the day or through the school office.
The children take part in PE lessons every Thursday, please ensure that the children come into school dressed in their full PE kit on the days they are due to have PE. No PE kits will be left school and should the children wish to they can wear trainers, dark tracksuit bottoms and a Holy Family fleece (as some PE sessions may take place outdoors).
Homework will be set every Friday and the children will have a week to complete any tasks they are set, any homework tasks returned promptly on the following Monday will be rewarded with a dojo.
Spelling lists will also be sent home at the beginning of each week, these lists should then stay at home for the children to use and reference for practise in anticipation for our weekly spelling test on Friday.
